In 2019, while still a student of Johannes Schlaefli at the Zurich University of the Arts, Katharina was appointed Assistant Conductor of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. More recently, she was a prize winner of The Mahler Competition 2020 and was invited to participate in a masterclass with Iván Fischer and the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra. She has participated in masterclasses with Jaap van Zweden, Riccardo Muti, Marin Alsop, Bernard Haitink, Robert Spano and David Zinman. She also acted as assistant to Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla at the Salzburg State Theatre and was a singer and chorus master's assistant in the Arnold Schoenberg Choir in Vienna.
