Born in 2001 in Bourges (France), Gabriel Durliat began studying piano as well as composition aged 9. At the age of 11, he won first prize at the Orléans composition competition (age limit 30 years old). In 2017, at the age of 16, he entered the Paris Conservatoire (CNSMDP) where he obtained the highest distinctions in piano (prof. Hortense Cartier-Bresson), composition (prof. Thierry Escaich), collaborative piano (« classe d’accompagnement », prof. Jean-Frédéric Neuburger) and orchestration (prof. Guillaume Connesson). He also trained as a conductor, regularly conducting the Orchestre des Lauréats du Conservatoire. 

Gabriel has been presented on the national radio station France Musique as a «highly gifted musician and a great pianist». He is laureate of various international piano competitions and highly involved in contemporary music. He recently made the piano reduction of the two latest operas of Thierry Escaich, collaborating with the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées and the Opéra de Lyon.
