Holly Hyun Choe

Holly is currently the Assistant Conductor of the Tonhalle Orchestra Zürich under Maestro Paavo Järvi. She is also the Music Director of the Orchesterverein Wiedikon and the University of St. Gallen Alumni Symphony Orchestra in Switzerland. As a guest conductor, she has led the Ensemble Reflektor, Sønderjyllands Symfoniorkester, Montenegro Symphony Orchestra, and Collegium Musicum Basel. This summer, she will be the Main Conductor of the Davos Festival Academy Orchestra and debut in the Elbphilharmonie Concert Hall with the Ensemble Reflektor.
In 2020, she received a Career Assistance Award from the Solti Foundation in the United States. She is a current fellow in the German Music Council Dirigentenforum, a scholarship Award Recipient of the Taki Alsop Conducting Fellowship, and a former Conductor Mentee in the Peter Eötvös Foundation Mentoring Program. Holly studied wind conducting at the New England Conservatory under Prof. Charles Peltz and orchestral conducting at the Zürich University of the Arts under Prof. Johannes Schlaefli.
